As a collaborative project, O.S.S.H welcomes input and feedback from all contributors, particularly those with a firm knowledge of the visual media associated with the subject. Born a princess of the "Radiant Kingdom," Yomeno Shiko was spirited away to the planet Earth following a war with the Shadow Realm. Raised by human relatives, the O'Haras, she now lives the life of a simple Shibuya schoolgirl, unaware of her royal lineage. Her carefree lifestyle is shattered at the age of 18, when demons from the Shadow Realm finally track her down. Several Oni attack her one evening on the way home from Juku (cram school), leaving her for dead after a vicious struggle. Masque, aka the Midnight Stalker, is an unidentified mental patient driven mad by contact with supernatural forces. Tainted by demonic possession, he has developed uncanny telepathic skills which allow him to unerringly distinguish the innocent from the guilty. Due to his mental instability, he now believes himself a demon from hell, sent upworld to 'collect' the souls of the evil. Escaping from Dunwich Asylum, he descends on the nearby city of Radcliff, home to the most vile and corrupt creatures to ever walk the earth in human form. Click here to view image at full size.
According to most sources, Selina was first published by Landmark Magazines in 1964, making her official debut in Journey into Adventure no. 23.
